Social Donation

Welcron Group has continuously supported victims who lost their lives due to natural disasters including floods. It has also supported non-profit volunteer organizations. The group has delivered donations collected by all employees to flood victims every year and offered donations collected by holding in-house bazaars and the beer day to poor neighborhood.
Welcron supported KRW 200 million worth of microfiber cleaners and protective clothes to help Taean oil spill clean-up in 2007, , emergency aid goods (feminine products) to the typhoon affected areas in the Philippines and refugees camps in Syria in 2013 and KRW 150 million worth of feminine products to help African women in 2016.

Support Patients with Atopic Dermatitis

Welcron Group is making efforts to support patients who are suffering from atopic dermatitis. By signing the MOU to build the ‘World without Atopy’ with the Korea Atopy Association, Welcron will develop and promote cooperative projects to help patients with atopic dermatitis. It donated anti-allergic bedding to them and trains shop employees about consulting on atopy.
Such an education helps them better understand about atopy and trains professional consultants who can advise customers suffering from atopy about methods to prevent and treat it, environment improvement programs and healthy lifestyle.

Scholarship Support

Scholarship Support to Students Studying Textile Engineering

Welcron has supported scholarship to some 50 students who study textile engineering through scholarship support programs for science and engineering students from 1997. 10 of them entered the company and have worked in research and development, and technology business fields. Most of them are working for other textile companies and contributing to development of the country’s textile industry. Recently the company has strengthened qualifications which require a master’s degree or more to improve scholarship performance and trained customized talents who can participate in new development projects.
In the future, Welcron Group will continue to support scholarship to science and engineering students for development of the textile industry.

Signing Industrial-Academic Collaboration Agreement with Colleges and Specialized High Schools

Welcron Group has run scholarship support programs for science and engineering students since 1997 and signed industrial-academic collaboration agreements with Keimyung University and Kumoh National Institute of Technology in 2010, Bupyong Technical High School in 2011 and ThuDuc College of Technology in Vietnam and Hanyang Women’s University in Korea in 2013.
The group has been leading in training excellent technical manpower by conducting industrial-academic collaboration education and scholarship support programs including special courses on technology and expert education supported by experts from 4 companies.

Disaster Relief Activities

Welcron employees visited Taean where Korea's worst oil spill took place in 2007 and a flood disaster recovery site in Gangwon-do in 2006.
As one of Korea’s companies, Welcron is participating in relief activities when national level disasters take place.
The Welcron Volunteer Service was established by its employees in 2007. Welcron will perform enterprise-wide relief activities around the 30-member Volunteer Service. The activities to support neighborhoods and the state suffering from difficulties are duties and rights of a company.
